Impulses will be transmitted through optic nerve of each eye, meeting at the optic chiasma of the brain. Half of the neurones of each optic nerve goes to the same side of the brain while the other half goes to opposite side. The neurones will synapse with other nerve fibres that relay impulses to primary visual cortex. This is where the impulses are processed and interpreted giving rise to formation of images.
